Healthspan Program KHARIS
strategies for aging gracefully

KHARIS ("Grace" in Greek) mission is to develop new strategies that improve healthspan, which leads to improved quality of life, and reduce healthcare spending.

KHARIS is using systems and genetics approaches to understand the aging process. The research of Pr. Johan Auwerx spurred the development of new drugs, for the treatment of non-communicable diseases of the metabolic, cardiovascular, renal, and neuro-muscular systems.

KHARIS‘ mission is to:

  • define personalized healthspan metrics and trajectories by integration of mouse and human data
  • map predictive and causal factors of the decline of health, loss in resilience, and age-related disease
  • identify and validate candidate healthspan and disease targets
  • develop modality-agnostic strategies/therapeutics to increase healthspan and resilience
  • create a digital twin of health to facilitate silicon clinical trial

The Kharis Engine

Three modules enable integrated TIDVAL and translation

Circular diagram of the Kharis Engine: a continuous loop of Training, Prediction, Finetuning, and Feedback connecting three modules — the Proprietary data atlas, IT/AI, and Translation. The three Kharis Engine modules. Proprietary Data Atlas: unique comprehensive genotype/phenotype longitudinal cross-species data sets to guide understanding of disease biology, TIDVAL and facilitate clinical trials. IT/AI: computational integration, analytics and interpretation at scale of mouse/human data. Translation: expertise in modality agnostic development (drug, supplements, programs) leading to fast clinical translation.
